Who exactly is Flanna Kimmick? That question will forever be in the back of my mind as I meander my way through my career and life. So far I have figured out that I enjoy diving head first into different subjects or areas of interest. It has always been a love of mine to teach other people information that will help them in life.
I believe this translates to almost any field of work. Being a good teacher and having the ability to properly pass on information is one of my strongest skills. There has yet to be a task that I have not been able to teach myself how to do. Normally when I get involved with a new subject area I learn as much as possible about the area, so I can best do my job and push the boundries of what my job expects me to do.
Outside of work I am an avid sports player, not watcher but player. The idea of going to the gym to stay in shape seems silly to me, given all the exciting sports a person can play. I am have been swimming for 25 years, playing derby for 9, but what I love most is to go diving in exotic locations.

I am a strong believer that as an employee you need to do more then just work. What makes a great employee is the ability to spread knowledge and passion to others through outside activities, speaking, and working on side projects. While working to become a better person I have been recognized with awards.
It has been my pleasure to know for Flanna the last 2 years. She worked with me in my Earth Science class last year and she continues to work in the district this year. She is a lovely woman with tremendous potential and is highly respected among her peers. Flanna has always demonstrated characteristics which illustrated a motivated and independent teacher who works very hard to ensure that her students are successful. She is goal oriented and is extremely dedicated to her students. Flanna is always willing to put in that extra effort and her determination is a true measure of her success in the classroom.
In the classroom, Flanna has a natural affinity towards her students. She communicates expectations clearly and concisely. She has a strong work ethic which she instills in her students and a good foundation in Earth Science. I have seen her work with both the strong and the struggling student and she always finds a way to get through to them and help them to understand the concepts that they are having difficulty with. She treats all her students with respect and is helping them to not only be good students, but good citizens as well.

Flanna Kimmick is an extremely hard working individual that brings others higher with her. I have managed Flanna (A.K.A. TailGunner Flo) for two years and she is quick to learn new information and put it to use. All her teammates enjoy her company and never want her to retire. I think that speaks volumes about the kind of person she is.

Ms Kimmick is amazing with him (her student) and I do not know what class would be like without her, the work she does and how she interacts with him (her student) is necessary for his success in my eyes.
